My 9yr old rat terrier is suffering from an ear infection the likes of which plauged the australian cattle dog cutie . Reeses has been to the vet on several occasions and my vet bills are becoming very large. I am from New York City an am findingbit difficult finding someone who praticises holistic medicine for dogs Reeses is going deaf in one ear keeps shaking his head and i know he is in considerable pain. can you direct me to someone here in NY or give me some advice on how to help him. Ive had Reeses since he was 8weeks old and cannot stand seeing him in pain Plz help me

I’m so sorry to hear about your puppy’s troubles with the ears. Couple of ideas. One is, veterinary dermatologists are the specialists that care for dog ears (no Vet EENT!). You could ask your veterinarian for a referral to a specialist. I usually offer a referral if I have tried to cure an ear in 3 visits and it is not responding as I predicted.
You can look for a holistic vet in NYC several places. One is The American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association. They maintain a comprehensive list at their find a vet page.. You can also search The Chi University referral page for holistic veterinarians in NYC at tcvm.net on their “find a practitioner” page.
