Florida Dachshund Rescue
We’d like to let you know about a fabulous Rescue Group in Florida called Florida Dachshund Rescue. We work with their foster volunteers, and anyone who fosters or adopts a Dachshund through this group can call us for special Dachshund Group pricing.
Here’s what Donna has to say about Maddie, a great old Dachshund we fixed up so her senior mom, Doris could adopt her:
I want to thank you…from the bottom of my heart for helping us find this little dog for my mom. They hit it off immediately. Last night Maddie laid on a dog bed in the room with mom while she watched TV. She slept on the floor next to the bed and has been following mom around all day long. It is the cutest thing to see the little dog toddling along behing Mom and her walker. Mom loves to talk to her and Maddie loves to listen. They are truly meant to be together. Thank you so, so much. If there’s anything I can do to help your rescue program, please let me know.
All the best,
Donna
Florida Dachshund Rescue, Inc., is a not for profit dachshund rescue organization active since 2003 in Florida and several other Southeastern US states. They can be found on the internet at www.fldr.org or www.floridadachshundrescue.com (see All Pet Care’s Link menu).
Florida Dachshund Rescue Writes:
We are a registered, incorporated non-profit organization. We make no money on the placement of our dogs and rely on funds from fundraisers and generous donations. Our adoption fees are far less than the actual medical costs expended for the dogs, as we do not automatically reject animals in medical need. Each dachshund rescued through our organization is brought current on all shots, tested for heartworm infestation and given the necessary treatment, spayed/neutered, and is given recommended medically necessary treatments before being considered available for adoption. They also must stay in a foster home for behavior evaluation and modifications.

Congratulations to Donna, Doris, and a very happy little dachshund!
I have a beautiful dapple dauchand that is one and a half years old. He is not neutered. I have had to relocate and he needs a good home. He is a sweet dog, but if full of anxiety at the time due to our relocation and the fact that I now have to work long hours. I really just want a good home for him. I love this dog, but know that what is happening in our new life is not fair to him. If anyone out there is interested in adopting him or know of someone that would want to give him a good home please notify me through my email. I need to do this quickly.
Dear Polly,
If you are located in Florida, please contact the Dachshund Rescue directly. Good Luck!
