Exotic Pets & Fish Food Recall

If you use products manufuctured by PMI international, or you are not sure, and you have an exotic pet or a fish, please refer to the FDA complete list of recently recalled products.
The products contain excessive levels of Vitamin D, which cause the animals to loose weight, not eat well, perhaps experience joint pain (for mammals), and may lead to death.
If your pet has been eating one of these products, discontinue it and call for an appointment right away (727) 442-9111. Dr. Rixford is our main doctor seeing birds and reptiles (as well as cats and dogs). Dr. Springer is our main doctor seeing exotics, small mammals, and mini pigs.
